Welcome to Family History 2012

We welcome you to the 2012 Genealogy Workshop for the Deaf, June 20-23

It will be held in the beautiful Joseph Smith Memorial Building on Temple Square in Salt Lake City Utah 15 E. South Temple

This is a Free workshop open to everyone in the Deaf Community. All classes will be taught in Sign Language or Interpreted. We are grateful to the Family History Library for all their support in making this workshop possible. We will be offering classes on a wide variety of subjects and we are looking forward to your feedback as to which subjects will be most helpful to you. You will have lots of opportunity to spend time in the Family History Library for research with the support of deaf services to make your research easier.

For LDS members there will be an endowment session in the Salt Lake Temple on Saturday, June 23 at 5:00pm.

There will also be a Lovely Catered Banquet & program on Friday June 22 at 5:30 held in the Church Office Building 26 floor. There will be a charge for this.

On Sunday, June 24 for LDS members and anyone else that would like to attend, there will be a Deaf Conference Devotional to be held in the small theater of the Conference Center, across the street from Temple Square. There will be interpreters provided for the hearing. Following the Conference, for a small charge, there will be lunch provided for anyone that signs up ahead of time.

This promises to be a productive, spiritual experience for all of you who are anxiously engaged in finding your roots, learning more about your precious ancestors and in bringing your family closer together. Come with a positive attitude of joy and fellowship and we will all have wonderful journey together.
